However, there are too few people who can insist on eating fruits every day. This has become a common health problem in the world.

Eat too little fruit is a global problem
World Health Organization data show that nearly 270 million people worldwide have died of disease caused by too little intake of fruits and vegetables each year, particularly in developing countries.

To encourage people to eat more fruits, the United States has vigorously promoted the "2010 Plan", that is, by 2010, 75% of Americans can eat two servings of fruit a day, but the plan eventually fails. Data show that since 1988, American fruit and vegetable intake has been falling.

Only a small number of people in the United States often eat fruit. Some people never even eat it. Instead, they supplement their nutrition by eating vitamin tablets. The price of Japanese fruit is high. The price of a watermelon is as high as 5000-6000 yen. Therefore, the Japanese people don’t eat much fruit. It is mainly based on drinking juice; only Germany, which is well-developed in agriculture, has a wide variety of fruits, and people are more motivated to eat fruits.

In China, the problem of insufficient intake of fruits by residents is also very serious. In 2010, a 5,000-person online survey showed that 34% of people did not eat fruit the day before the survey, and even if they ate, 84% of the intake was lower than the minimum recommended amount. Another survey of pupils in Kitakami-Guangzhou showed that nearly one-third of children did not eat fruit every day.

Most people regard fruit as a "snack" or "dessert". When you want to eat, you should eat a little. It doesn't matter if you don't eat it. Others think that the fruit is too expensive and wants to eat but is discouraged. Ma Guansheng, deputy director of the Center for Nutrition and Food Safety of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, pointed out that compared with the universality of vegetable consumption, the Chinese have not yet developed the awareness and habit of eating fruits to supplement nutrition.
